About The Bakery
Our small, family-owned bakery emerged in 1996 from the back of our sandwich shop in downtown Toronto. Our grandmother had introduced us to a love for baking tasty, nutritious food that we've been exploring ever since.
Our company grew slowly, and in 1998 we began selling our pitas to local specialty and health food stores in downtown Toronto. We were thrilled to see the demand for our products grow rapidly, and we soon opened a small commercial bakery.
Now, in 2011, we're moving again. Although we would have never imagined it, we recently expanded our branches to better serve our growing clientele in the United States. This is truly exciting for us, and we are happy to be producing new, healthy products across North America.
About the Ozery Family
Our company started as a small, family-owned bakery. 15 years later, not much has changed. We have welcomed new faces and helping hands over the years, but what started as a business with a father, Al Ozery, and two sons, Alon and Guy, is still the same. Today, our father is enjoying semi-retirement and we work hard to make him proud.
Alon Ozery
As the founder of Ozery's Pita Break, Alon is one of the creative forces behind the company's innovative products. Balancing nutrition and flavour is of utmost importance to him, and he spends much of his time researching new products and refining ideas with the company's excellent product development team. He also has an affinity for espresso, and can often be found exploring Toronto's small, diverse coffee shops.
Guy Ozery
As Ozery's Pita Break's president, Guy's sharp mind is a driving force behind the company's success. With his attention to detail and goal-oriented mindset, Guy focuses on the business aspect of the company, and oversees the company's operations and production. Guy is also passionate about good food, and enjoys supporting local emerging restaurants in the GTA.
About Our Products
At Ozery's Pita Break, we strive to bring wholesome, nutritional products to your table. We still follow our grandmother's recipe for many of our products, and have never sacrificed the quality of our ingredients despite growing demands for our products.
Our products are natural, free of artificial preservatives, flavours, or additives. We believe that high quality ingredients lead to high quality products, and we believe that it shows.
Our products often include whole grains, seeds, and dried fruit full of nutrients. Many of our products are low in fat and sodium and are high in iron, fibre, and are good sources of omega-3 polyunsaturates.
Kosher Certified Products
All Ozery's Pita Break products are certified as kosher under the Orthodox KSA (Kashruth Supervision of America) organization. In other words, no dairy or animal products or by-products are used.
